Bioidentical Hormone Therapy
Hormone treatments
Menopausal hormone therapy is the term used to describe hormone treatments that are given to relieve bothersome symptoms of menopause. We favor bioidentical hormone therapy since it is made of molecules whose composition is closest to the hormones naturally produced by the ovaries.

About Bio-Identical Hormones
Bioidentical hormones are hormones produced from plants that have an identical molecular structure to natural hormones found in the human body. Using bioidentical hormones to treat menopausal symptoms can help relieve hot flashes, heat, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal dryness and low libido. Bioidentical hormones can also help improve bone density and reduce fracture risk. Unlike synthetic hormones, bioidentical hormones are considered safer and better tolerated by the body because they are natural and have the same molecular structure as natural hormones in the human body. At our clinic, we offer personalized bioidentical hormone treatment options to meet your specific needs. We work with you to determine the optimal dose and route of administration that works best for your body.

Menopause and Perimenopause
Menopause occurs when women stop menstruating (stopping of periods). A woman is said to have completed her menopause once she has gone a full year without having a period. The average age of menopause is around 51 years old. Menopause does not happen suddenly; most women experience several years of changes in their periods before they stop altogether. During this time (also called the menopausal transition or “perimenopause”), many women also begin to experience menopausal symptoms. These result from the drop in estrogen levels in the body and can include hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, sleep problems and vaginal dryness.
